About us . . . . .
What started as one guy, a truck full of tools and love for building stuff has evolved into a full service construction company staffed by dedicated craftsmen and a network of equally passionate, hand-picked subcontractors working together to turn dreams into reality. After a lot of urging from friends and colleagues, I started Blackstock & Company in 1997. My dream was to build a construction company that could not only build beautiful things and spaces, but could defy the ugly reputation that many contractors before me had so rightly earned. I wanted to build a company that my clients would love and be happy to refer to their friends. My company's main cornerstones were going to be the ability to gain and earn our clients trust, professional customer service, great quality and consistency in delivering the most bang for the buck. I knew that with with these cornerstones, good things would come . . . and they did. Our client list grew and so did our referral base. Before long, my employees and I were taking on more varied types of projects and our list of qualified subs grew as well. Our reputation started off strong and is the base of our continued success.
Today our projects progress with a refined system designed to deliver high quality along with high effieciency. Some of these system components are:
-
A thorough design process involving our clients and myself where we make detailed choices on dimensions, flow, materials, textures, and asthetics. Engineers, Architects and Designers are occasionally involved on an 'as needed' basis.
-
A detailed set of plans reviewed and revised by the homeowner, myself and our project foreman. A daily site visit or phone call by me to answer questions, check progress, and to ensure quality at every phase. We know that regular and convenient communications are key to the success of each project, so we make sure any and all of your questions or concerns are addressed as they arise.
-
During code inspections, either myself or our project foreman will be there to walk through with the inspector to answer questions or to hear, first hand, about any necessary changes.
-
Once all municipal inspections are passed, we set up the most important inspection of them all; the one with the home owner. We want every detail to be at or above your expectations, so our final walk through is our chance to make sure everything is just right.
